I accept a 1997 Coachman, Clipper. Went to Bluegrass Festival. Popped upwards the peak, and found water had leaked from nether vent, through roof, to within, running along rims inside, h2o all over canvas, seats, floor. I practise not know how, or have tools, skill to replace roof, repair damages. Does anyone accept any suggestions, or know who could fix my popup? Wish I could fix my roof like others. Too much mildew for my breathing. Miss camping in my popup. Thanks for any assistance! Needless to say wasn't able to military camp at Bluegrass Festival. Oh well. There is adjacent year!!!

is there besides much roof damage to repair or could y'all open up it upwards and dry out it out, get rid of mildew and recaulk the vent and be good? If it is the vent information technology is just a thing of taking information technology off and using lap sealant to fix the leak.

My roof vent had a hairline crack in the plastic that was very difficult to run across until I was up close. Information technology was plenty to cause a major mold issue inside the trailer. I replaced the roof vent re-caulked around it and caulked every section of the trailer. The hardest and the most fourth dimension consuming function was cleaning and airing the sail out. Had to re- waterproof later treating/cleaning the mold.

Dicor lap sealant for the vent and quad Three for the whole pup. Y'all can find information technology at your local RV store simply that is AFTER y'all fix the damage.

It is not inexpensive. how much did yous pay for the pup? It is probably going to be more to prepare than what you lot paid for information technology if yous do that. all-time affair to practise is to commencement taking it apart advisedly and see what impairment yous have. Research, inquiry, research!!

What damage do you lot actually have? If your floors or other components are rotted, then you have a big repair job, with lots of hours, and some $$$ to set information technology. If what you take is mold and mildew then the job will exist easier: as others take said, fix the leak, so....
Remove the mold and mildew using Starbrite Mold and Mildew remover. This product seems to contain bleach - there are lots of threads saying don't use a bleach product, but when you have significant mold and mildew, yous really don't accept some other expert selection. Starbrite works well. Rinse everything very well afterwards, so exit out to dry.
Accept all the cushion covers off and launder - ensure the cushions are dry, and spray with Febreeze.
Starbrite may dethrone the waterproof coating on the canvas, so y'all'll want to recoat with 303 Fabricguard afterwards, reseal the seams using a seam sealer, and put 303 Aerospace protectant on any vinyl.
Before thinking the trailer is junk, a cleaning might well do the trick. Nosotros had a trailer that we made the fault of putting away when it was very slightly damp due to condensation, and did the above to bring it dorsum to excellent condition.
